Xûr, Agent of the Nine, is back in Destiny’s Tower, and he has Guardians saying, “Maybe next week.” PlayStation and Xbox players looking for a good Exotic armor piece or weapon from the “House of Wolves” are left in the cold once again. Even worse, what the mysterious vendor does offer wouldn’t be considered very good prior to the second expansion.
Xûr can be found in the very back of the bar located underneath the Future War Cult in the hangar this weekend. It’s a long jog, but easy to find. Just turn left when you enter the hanger, go down the stairs to the left, and then straight back. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map just to be sure though.
Xûr and his items will only be available in Destiny through the morning of Sunday, June 7. As soon as the clock strikes 5 a.m. ET / 2 a.m. PT, he will be gone.
Titans may as well not even make the walk to the bar to see Xûr this week. Hunters easily have the best offering this week despite an average stat roll while Sunsinger Warlocks may find themselves with a decent backup piece.
This makes the fourth week since the release of Destiny’s second expansion, and Xûr has sold only one exotic piece from it in that time. The best way to obtain “House of Wolves” Exotics for now is to roll the dice by buying the Exotic engram, complete the Weekly Nightfall, or open the big treasure chest at the end of a Prison of Elders run.

For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.
The Universal Remote shotgun is one of the rare non-primary weapons that can be placed in the primary weapon slot. It’s not a top-tier shotgun in terms of its range and impact, the 100 percent damage buff in PVE has been a boon to the weapon. That said, it is still mostly a novelty weapon in Destiny.
The Mk. 44 Stand Asides boots are for Titans in the Striker sub-class who love using the Shoulder Charge. The “Be Somewhere Else” perk extends the time that the Shoulder Charge is available by a couple of seconds. If you’ve ever played a Titan in Crucible, you know that those couple of seconds of extended run time with the Shoulder Charge can be deadly. It also allows the character to carry more Heavy Weapon ammo, which is always a nice perk to have. These boots should be low on your priority list though since they are only useful in Destiny’s multiplayer.
The 135 Strength stat roll is higher than previous rolls but in the average range under the new working 166 point maximum for boots. These boots are a skip this week unless you are a new Guardian needing to pick up your first Titan Exotic.
The Mask of the Third Man makes Hunters who roll with the Bladedancer sub-class that much more hated. The “Switchblade” perk increases melee attack speed while the “Unstable Current” perk makes Arc Blades attacks use less super energy. That means you’ll be able to get in a couple of more swings with the Bladedance super. Meanwhile, the “Infusion” perk rounds out this piece nicely by replenishing health when picking up Orbs.
The 110 Intellect stat roll is average under the new 135-ish maximum. That said, this helmet’s usefulness for Destiny players is defined by the ability to extend the Bladedancer super ability attacks and replenish health, which is great for both PVP and PVE. It’s a must have for Bladedancer Hunters, so go ahead and grab it if you don’t have one already.
Lastly, the Light Beyond Nemesis helmet for the Warlock Sunsinger sub-class is a good piece to bring into Trials of Osiris and other Elimination PVP gametypes in Destiny. The “Keeper of the Pack” upgrade perk allows you to revive teammates faster and vice versa. That extra time not spent reviving fallen teammates can be crucial during a tight encounter. Additionally, the “Infusion” perk replenishes health when picking up Orbs of Light, making it a must have for Crota’s End Hard Mode. Finally, the “Snap Discharge” perk increases melee attack speed.
This is another average stat roll this week at 115 Strength. Its usefulness in both PVP and PVE have increased significantly since the release of “House of Wolves.” Destiny players rolling as Sunsinger Warlocks will find that the combination of fast revives and increased melee attack ability to proc Flame Shield useful.
